Pre-Marriage Courses? Yay or Nay?

     A month later.
"Wise man says, only fools rush in, but I can't help, from falling in love, with you," that was what the famous King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, sang his way through to all the young girls heart. I love you, you love me, we are happy family, lets get married and live happily ever after It is such a cliche move that upon attaining a certain age, it becomes the typical Asian mindset to actually get married and settle down. However, recently a study shown that
in every four days, there is a couple who seeks for divorce. Couples who once claims to be in love, now wants to part ways for life. It was suggested that perhaps rushing into a marriage without consoling
a proper counselor might be one of the many reasons that the divorce rate is spiking high. However, I am in the opinion to say that no that all couples should not attend pre-marriage courses before getting married. In this piece, I would show there reasons, namely, couples can solve their own personal matters by themselves, that attending this pre-marriage course is a waste of money and lastly, the rightful people
to turn to for help, is none other than your family.
First and foremost, it should be made clear that just because we want to curb the issues of spiking roof top high divorce rate cases, that we should then make this pre-marriage course a compulsary thing, is indeed absurd. It takes any reasonable man to realize that a couple only chooses to be married once they are ready to step into the marriage phase. If an adult could make that decision, I believe it is only right to say that you can already think for yourself. It is only fair to say that you are an independent, matured and working adult who can support yourself. If an adult could help? A person who could utter the word "I do" and to be legally and lawfully married is impliedly, showing that they are ready to spend the next phase of their life with their other half. That they are able to face the world and problems together, how is attending pre-marriage course is said to be able to aid at all! Couples should learn how to work their problems out and communicate instead of putting themselves through some session which requires money and this brings me to my next point.
In this scenarios, attending pre-marriage courses is a waste of money. Picture this in your head, a bride who wants to be married, has to worry of her wedding dress, her bridemaids, food caterers, accomodations for her guests and etc. Asking her and the groom to attend a pre-marriage prior before the wedding is just a little too much. It shall be note that weddings involves a lot of expenses as well, From the food to the booking of the wedding halls to the monies, everything requires the bride and the groom to be on a super tight budget, well, unless they are from a wealthy family. But what if they are not? What happens then? How are couples who are going to be married dare think of their honeymoon even after the wedding if they are going to already spend so much prior to the big day My point is, a couple who wants to be married do not have the time nor the money to attend this pre-maritial courses as it is not only a plain waste of time but also financially burdening to those who do not come from a wealthy background. Hence,  am in the view of saying no to the
pre-marriage courses as my next point will
involve people closest to us on planet Earth.
Besides that, let us here be honest, a marriage counselor who are supposed to advice you on your pre-marriage course is none other than a complete stranger. The process involves you walking into the centre with your partner wanting to sign up for this course is utterly insane, if you ask me. The only rightful mind of people who one should seek before getting married, is none other than your own parents future-in-laws. Here, you would not only promote a better relationship, but you also help make the family closer to one another as all of you would be more bonded then. Parents and your in-laws would be glad to give you tips in building a new family together with your partner. There would be no other person who would know you better on planet Earth, besides your parents. My only question is, why would you want seek help from a third party, who bear in mind, that person do not know you or of your existence nor your past or even your future planning upon building a family. How is that stranger supposed advice you then? My only concern making pre-marriage courses compulsary is the fact that why would you want to attend a course conducted by an outsider when you can have someone close to you at heart to advice you in the first place. Don't you think that it is
just too much of a hassle?
In conclusion, people get married everyday, at every second that the clock ticks. At the very same scenario, people obtains divorce very quickly too. It should be always a reminder that people get divorce when the relationship had already turned sour and that, there is nothing that you and I could do about it. Suggesting a pre-marriage course is definitely an absurd one as we must always remember that couples who wants to be eternally bounded for life should be allowed to make mistakes and to sort things out. Forcing them into a pre-marriage course which might even reveal all the harsh truth about marriage life is a bad idea. What if after attending the pre-marriage course, the couples changed their minds then? Who should be held liable then? Finally, I am firm and I stand by my opinion that pre-marriage courses is not an essestial as what guarentees do we have that it could help overcome divorce rates? No, right? Therefore, think about it, would you?
Thank you!

'Cause lately I don't even know what page you're on

23:50p.m.

I had decided to blog about my own English paper titles Money ensures happiness. What is your opinion? Did this for my Trials English Paper 2011 ; Section B. I got 28/50 for this factual essay tho :/

I strongly disagree with the statement above. No, money does not ensure happiness.

Money. It makes the world go round. Flip a coin and as you can see, the end of every wealth is betrayal. Betrayal to yourself and people around you.

Ding Xiao-ping once said, to be wealthy is by being healthy. Therefore, having lots of money would not necessarily ensure you a healthy lifestyle to enjoy life. What is the point of having millions of cash in your bank account but you are suffering all kinds of diseases?

Not only health, but family. Would you rather have your family just by your side, just because you are rich? So, what happens if you suddenly go bankrupt tomorrow? I wonder would your family still be there? I don't think so.

Besides that, money also creates evil in you. Money tens to create greed in an individual. We humans, we never get enough in life. For an example, lets just say you are earning RM 1000 each month. Now, when you have enough money, you decided to buy a Kancil. A car. Ten years later, your salary increases from RM 1000, you are now earning as much as RM 10000 per month. The best pat is you used to be an office boy and today, you are a boss! A boss of your own company. Now, would you still be driving your old Kancil? No! No! Why? It is because you feel like you have to buy a better car. A more grand one to reflect you as a boss. A Toyota maybe? A Camry? How long are you going to keep doing that? It is the mentality in the society that as long as you have money, you are happy. But no! It is not!

Do the society know how much you stressed out are you at work place? being wealthy does not come handy, but it requires hard work! But wait, hang in there! People often say that there is no free lunch in the world and in fact I believe in that, but hey! You can have everything and anything you want if you are wealthy. but! Can you buy the love of your life with money? You can never! a guy or a girl must only love you for who you are, whether you are rich, poor, short, tall, pretty or ugly. Sincerely, if he loves you, he would sacrifice anything and everything just to be with you. Now, here is the question! If you are rich, how sure are you that he loves you for who you are and not for your wealth? What if all those sweet promises and those sweet words are just for the sake of your money?

You can never know. What if you suddenly faced an accident and you went into comma. Would he be there for you? Would he be looking after you? What if he left you for another woman with your money then? How would you feel? See! After all, money does not ensures happiness know?!

Next, being wealthy in directly builds you up to be a materialistic person. you will fall in love with every single thing in life you see. You will yearned for it. Imagine having everything you ever dreamed, don't you want it? Can you see it? You and I, all the fame. Sounds exciting isn't it? Personal stylist, agent and the publicity . Become superstar! You want it all@ But wait! Imagine this! You owned a big three storey bungalow. The garden are all filled with flowers, roses, plants and trees. You have a big swimming pool. You have a personal jacuzzi. You practically have everything at home sweet home. Dream come true right? But, the problem is! You are living alone! Does it still sounds fun now? You have absolute no one to share your problems with and you have no one to share the fun together. After all, money definitely does not ensure happiness.

Moreover, being wealthy do not buy your true friends. How would you know that they are there around you not for the sake of money? See, after all, being rich is not so fun though. You only find real friends when they stay with you during your hard times in life. They stick around you. they share your problems and they advice you. But, of you have money, they only tend to find you and hang out with you just for the sake because you are rich. How would you know that they do not back-stab you? You may never know. What if you are going through hardship? Would they still be there for you or otherwise? God knows. I doubt they would.

Being wealthy might give you the feeling of being secured but the fear of getting robbed or kidnapped is even way more scarier. You could not even get a good night sleep thinking whether is your money placed in the right hands or at the right place. You would be practically worried 24 hours, seven days  week. Now, how do you enjoy life if you are so tensed all the time? You fear getting robbed in the middle of the night and when you are out shopping, you fer being kidnapped. So, what is the point of having so much money but scared all the times in life? Isn't life is about enjoying? So does money ensures you happiness by being scared the whole time?

Another thing about being wealthy is that when you go out with your friends, colleagues or anyone, they tend to keep quiet and pretend don't know when the bills are presented. They assume that, you being the rich one, it is your duty to spend them. FOREVER AND ALWAYS. They tend to be nice to you and take advantages on you just for the sake of your wealth that you would be buying and spending them basically everything. Such a waste isn't it? Spending all your hard earn cash on other people. Now, let me ask you again, do money ensure happiness?

After all, money can never buy one's happiness. Even if it is to get a pure smile from the one you love most, money might not help you. But health, family, friends and love sure do shower and colour your life with happiness.

A fiction story :'(

It was a quiet night in the month of October. The night was calm but the situation in the hospital was not as calm as the foggy night outside. In the hospital, a voice of a pretty young lady was screaming with pain was filling the mist. She was huffing and puffing. She was using all her energy and finally, she managed to give birth to a baby. :)

"Congratulations, Mr. Lee! It is a baby girl, said the doctor" to Anna's husband. He slowly cradled the baby and put her on Anna's lap. tears streamed down on Anna's cheek. She finally gave birth to a baby after seven years of marriage. Robert Lee put his arms around his wife and said, "I promised to take care of this baby and you from cradle t the grave," he said. "I would love her as much as I love you," added Mr. Lee.
Robert assured his wife and made a promise to her. Anna held the baby with cautious and slowly, she kissed her baby's forehead. It was a red-letter day for both the couple.

Months passed after Anna had given birth to Fleur and evceryday was a happy day. Robert was very supportive. He purchased many toys for Fleur. From dresses, socks and mittens, he buys them all for hos daughter. He spoilt his daughter really bad. However, not all good things last right?

Fleur was then a toddler when an incident occurred. At that time, Anna was playing with Fleur in the garden at that the back of the house. The garden was a beautiful place as it was filled with green plants, flowers and butterflies. It always excites Anna whenever she caught her daughter, Fleur staring at the trees and swaying them with her curious big eyes. One day, the house telephone suddenly ran, Anna went into the house to answer the call. However, Fleur was left behing alone in the garden. Fleur saw a cat and she got excited even more when she saw the cat ran behind the bushed. Fleur followed the cat and it actually led Fleur to a small well. The cat jumped over the well. PANIC STATIONS! Fleur followed the cat's actions and she consequently fell into the well.

When Anna was done, she went back to the garden, she was so panicked as her daughter was no where to be seen. She searched with all her might until she heard a crying sound. She listened properly, retracing the crying source. It was from the well! Anna ran to her neighbour;s house to get help.

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE HER ALONE IN THE GARDEN?" Robert screamed to Anna with his arms crossed. Robert and Anna were now in the hospital. They were both waiting for the doctor for their daughter's health result.

"I was answering the phone. I thought it would be alright just to leave her out of my sight for a second" said Anna sobbingly.

"Ahem. Sorry to interrupt your conversation but I am here to tell you the result on Fleur's health, said the doctor. The doctor stood calmly with a board clip against his chest.

"I'm sorry to inform you but your child is having difficulties in hearing. Nevertheless, her body is still in fighting fit,"said the doctor calmly.

"You mean...She is deaf?!!! asked Robert.

"In other words, yes." The look in the doctor's eyes and the facial expression of the doctor answered all the couple's questions. Anna could not take the fact that her only beloved daughter is deaf. As a result, she fainted.

Months passed. Feelings faded. Weather changed. Even people changed. Anna began arguing with her husband nearly every night. Their arguements were very frequent even though their child was standing right in front of them watching them argue. Robert often blamed Anna as the reason why their daughter Fleur is deaf. One night, after all the fights and arguements, Robert packed up all his things and he decided to move out from the house. He decided to leave his wife and his daughter behind. He could no longer withstand Anna's behaviour. The truth was, Robert has another woman in the outside world. Anna's life was totally ruined. She thought of commiting suicide when Fleur came and she covered her mother with a small blanket and she hugged her mother. Anna then reminded herself of all those halcyon days. She squeezed her daughter back tightly in her arms and she reassured to herself that she still do have a family even though her husband left for le cherchez famme.

TRUE STORY know? :'(

Family is the most important thing in our life. it is priceless and cannot be bought by money. Family will remain with you through thick or thin. Family will share your joy and happiness and all your sorrows too. Family will work together to solve problems together and they will always be there for you.

I have finally realizes the true meaning of family after an experience which I will never forget, last year, my father was diagnosed with liver cancer. My family was devastated. Since then we tried all kinds of different ways to prevent it from spreading to other organ for a short period of time. My father's siblings would help to find all sorts of cures for my father.

They constantly give comfort and advice us to be strong to pull through this. Soon, my father went in and out of the hospital for treatment. His siblings will visit gim in the hospital and help is whenever we needed it. They would prepare food for us when we are unable to prepare it ourselves.

After a few months, my father's condition started to worsen. He was then diagnosed with Wilson's disease. My father's health deteriorated quickly, as his liver starts to fail. He needed a transplant as soon as possible. His siblings, at that time did a lot of work to seek around help to see if there was any liver for my father. They even offered to donate part of their lover to him but my father refused to accept as the risk was very high back then.

As family, they helped a lot. His brother would sometimes keep an eye on him at night at the hospital when my mother is too tired or is unable to watch him that night. When my father started to lose his memory and himself, they still patiently looked after him and cared for him despite of my father's tantrums.

My father passed away on the 13th November 2011. That was also the time when they helped is out the most as my mother was too depressed and my sister and I were still too young to arrange all. This is the time when his siblings stepped in. They helped to arrange the funeral for my gather and helped informed many relatives and friends. From the first day of his burial, they were there for us. Without them, we might not be able to hold on the wake service and funeral so smoothly.

Even now, they will help us when we ask or needed it. they are still beside us even after my father's death. They helped s to pull through this. My family finally understands the meaning of the word family and my father's death has actually brought the two families closer. We are all glad and thankful that we have each other as family.
